**UPDATE**

I've had a photo of mine accepted to the Pentax Photo Gallery. This is Pentax's own site so it's pretty nice to be accepted into it. I'm going to submit more to see what happens. It's a great site with some quality photos, all taken by Pentax cameras!



So as I mentioned I would be doing more photography since the weather is nicer and just as predicted the storms have ceased for a few days and the temp is cooler so I got out with a new camera.

My new camera...

I had sold a lot of my photography equipment as it was becoming a costly investment but had been wanting a more pocketable camera that had the look and capiblities of an DSLR and I have found that with the Sigma DP1.




It's a completely different camera, first compact camera of it's kind to have a full size sensor from a DSLR. Most compact cameras have a very small sensor which leads to high noise and very little depth of field effects but this changes that. Also this camera has a unique sensor called a Foveon, it's much closer to film then a standard DSLR sensor as it records all colors at all pixels.

Anyhow here are some results! I love the camera it's quite small and takes amazingly sharp photo so so much detail! Also the raw converter included is really nice as these photos have NO photoshop work done to them so you really can see what this camera can do!
